VETERANS TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

In early 2020, the GPVSC consolidated with the American Legion Rocky Boy Veterans Post 67. As a sub-grantee of the American Legion's Highly Rural Transportation Grant (HRTG), the GPVSC assumed the transportation services and began operating its Veterans Transportation Services (VTS) program. The program's mission to provide transportation for highly rural Veterans to their VA and VA referred doctor's appointments.

In September of 2020, the GPVSC expanded the VTS program. The GPVSC has increased the service area from one Indian reservation and three counties to three Indian reservations and seventeen counties, covering 45,362 square miles in North Central Montana. In addition to the main office in Rocky Boy, the GPVSC has established two satellite offices to serve Veterans, located in Browning and Big Timber, Montana.
