  • GPVSC provides employment referral services designed to help veterans transition into the workforce and achieve long-term self-sufficiency. Through its Veterans Support Services (VSS) program, GPVSC assists unemployed and underemployed veterans by connecting them with employment opportunities, workforce resources, training programs, and supportive services that address barriers to employment. Services may include job referrals, case management, resume and application assistance, coordination with tribal, state, federal, and VA programs, and referrals to additional community agencies that support career development and stability. GPVSC also works to help veterans access benefits, housing assistance, transportation, counseling, and other resources that contribute to successful employment outcomes and overall quality of life. The organization primarily serves veterans throughout rural North Central Montana, including the Rocky Boy’s, Fort Belknap, and Blackfeet reservations.

  • GPVSC provides housing assistance services to help veterans and their families maintain safe, stable housing and prevent homelessness. Through its Veterans Support Services Program, GPVSC offers direct assistance for veterans facing housing-related hardships, including help with temporary housing, utilities, fuel costs, home repairs and renovations, and homelessness prevention services. The organization also connects veterans with case management, referrals to community and VA housing programs, and supportive resources that address barriers to stable living situations. GPVSC works closely with federal and community programs such as HUD-VASH and other veteran housing initiatives to help eligible veterans secure long-term housing solutions and supportive services. These programs are designed to improve quality of life, promote housing stability, and support veterans throughout rural North Central Montana, including the Rocky Boy’s, Fort Belknap, and Blackfeet reservation communities.

  • GPVSC provides health care assistance services to help veterans access medical care, behavioral health support, and VA-related health benefits. Through its Veterans Support Services (VSS) program, GPVSC offers referral services for healthcare, assistance with VA enrollment and benefits, counseling referrals through the Great Falls Vet Center, transportation coordination for VA and authorized non-VA medical appointments, and case management support for veterans facing health-related challenges. The organization also assists veterans in navigating the VA healthcare system, obtaining important military records such as DD Form 214s, and connecting with mental health and suicide prevention resources. GPVSC’s programs are designed to reduce barriers to care for veterans living in rural Montana communities, including the Rocky Boy’s, Fort Belknap, and Blackfeet reservations, while improving veterans’ overall health, wellness, and quality of life.

  • The Great Plains Veterans Services Center is committed to helping Veterans and their families navigate the often complex process of accessing earned benefits and services. Our Benefits Assistance Services program provides guidance, advocacy, and support to ensure Veterans receive the resources they have earned through their military service.

We assist Veterans with VA enrollment, disability compensation claims, pension applications, healthcare eligibility, education benefits, and referrals to additional community resources. Our staff works directly with Veterans to help gather required documentation, retrieve DD Form 214 records, complete paperwork, and connect individuals with the appropriate agencies and programs.

GPVSC understands that navigating the VA system can be overwhelming, and we are here to provide personalized assistance every step of the way. Whether a Veteran needs help filing a new claim, understanding available benefits, or accessing supportive services, our goal is to make the process easier and ensure no Veteran is left without support.

Through advocacy, referrals, and one-on-one assistance, GPVSC continues its mission of Veterans helping Veterans for a better future.
